When you purchase products or services from a Merchant that uses Payment Express, Direct Payment Solutions Limited or its licensors (hereafter referred to as DPS) are committed to preserving your privacy as an Internet user. When the cardholder uses a credit or debit card over the phone, the internet, a fax, an unattended EFTPOS system, or an integrated EFTPOS system, the merchant typically uses Payment Express. DPS is aware of its obligation to always maintain the confidentiality of any information it obtains in connection with a transaction, whether it comes directly from the Cardholders or the Merchant. DPS adheres (at a bare minimum) to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards when protecting personal data. Please be aware, however, that DPS obligation is restricted to DPS protecting information that DPS gets.
In order to complete the payment, DPS utilizes the information to request authorization for the transaction from the credit card's issuing bank and its own or the merchant's bank. The Payline - DPS web-based transactions management system, which enables Merchants to track transactions and handle refunds, may provide some transaction information (such as name, email, and delivery address) to the Merchant or Acquirer.
Data security is important to DPS. In order to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, DPS employs a number of technologies and procedures. For instance, DPS maintains the information on computer servers with restricted access that are situated in regulated settings and protected by the most recent in surveillance and security technologies. Whenever DPS sends sensitive data (such payment card details), it encrypts the data using a protocol like the Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
